Venus Marigmen is the Director of HR at Intelligent Technical Solutions. As the head of the HR department, she's in charge of all people-related operations, including overseeing recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee relations, among others. Apart from the technical tasks, she is also responsible for making sure team members feel heard, trusted, and supported by shaping the culture and employee engagement in the company.
Before committing to ITS, Venus had several freelance jobs as a virtual assistant, writer, and corporate recruiter. ITS was one of her clients.
She started as a freelance recruiter in 2016 and eventually got promoted to the head of the newly formed HR department when ITS scaled up its operations. In due course, Venus let go of all her side jobs and decided to focus on supervising human resources at ITS and has excelled in her position for five years.
HR's mantra, under Venus' leadership, is to help the clients by supporting the ITS team members who serve as front liners to the customers. She believes that what they do impacts the team members' experience, which will empower them to serve the clients better.
The best thing about her job as the Director of HR is having the privilege to work on things that matter the most to the company, which is the people. She derives satisfaction from making plans and strategies that impact their career and their life.
When she's not working, Venus loves spending time with her family. One of her favorite things to do is play with her two kids or travel with her husband. She also enjoys reading or listening to audiobooks in her alone time or going out to meet her team for mentorship–consistently finding ways to learn something new.
